Time Out says

Black Sheep Restaurants does it again with their newest restaurant opening: Grand Majestic Sichuan. As the name suggests, the restaurant will be serving up tongue-tingling Sichuan cuisine with a menu consulted on by Chinese food historian Fuchsia Dunlop, whom you may recognise from Netflix’s hit food series Ugly Delicious.

Located in Alexandra House, Grand Majestic Sichuan’s interior will exude a nostalgic glamour which makes sense since the name is a nod to the Majestic Restaurant & Night Club, a popular North Point in the 1960s. The kitchen is helmed by head chef Theign Phan, who cooks up some familiar fiery flavours in a swanky setting with tableside service.

  • Food and drink events

As part of Black Sheep Restaurants’ ongoing Plated series, the restaurant group has refreshed its monthly dining discounts. Every Monday and Tuesday this June, customers can relish in unbeatable set menus for $228 per person at Motorino, Hotal Colombo, and Artemis & Apollo. Visit Soho’s casual Sri Lankan restaurant, Hotal Colombo, to dig into sharing portions of flavourful dishes like deviled shrimp, crab kothu, or chilli potato fry. Gather your group of friends and dine at Greek tavern Artemis & Apollo to enjoy classics like Cypriot salad, spit-roasted chicken, or lemon orzo avgolemono soup. Finally, Wan Chai’s Neapolitan pizza joint Motorino offers a variety of hearty Italian plates such as braised meatballs, roasted bell peppers, and a selection of oven-fired pizzas like spicy salami with fior di latte or Margherita.  Along with offering discounted set menus, Black Sheep’s Plated series also comes with a monthly corkage deal. Throughout June, guests can bring their own bottles of wine and enjoy waived corkage fees at Maison Libanaise.
