Time Out says

See nearly 30 outstanding movies, including four U.S. premieres and 10 New York premieres, at the Margaret Mead Film Festival. The four-day festival also includes shorts programs and special community events, all dedicated to the pioneering anthropologist.

For many of the events, filmmakers will be in attendance to present their work at the American Museum of Natural History from Thursday, May 9, through Sunday, May 12. This year's programming includes a special welcome performance from Soundtrack ‘63 and a multimedia orchestral retrospective of the Black experience in the United States. Also don't miss the New York premiere of National Geographic Documentary Films’ Sugarcane, the highly anticipated Opening Night film co-directed by Julian Brave NoiseCat and Emily Kassie. Finally, be sure to catch Porcelain War, about porcelain artists in Ukraine.
